Safety

Small groups, public places, you're in control.

Meetingy is built so meeting new people feels easy and safe. Here's what happens at each step, and what to do if something isn't right.

  1. 1

    Before

Every host page is checked by our team before it goes live. Your group is revealed the day before: first names, ages and one fun fact. No surnames, no phone numbers.

  2. 2

    During

Activities happen in public places: courts, studios, restaurants, parks. Check in with the host's code when you arrive so they know you're there.

  3. 3

    After

Picks are private. Only mutual picks are shared, and only the contact details you choose. Nobody ever sees who didn't pick them.

  4. 4

    If something's wrong

Block anyone you've been in a group with, in one tap: you won't be grouped with them again. Reports go to our team, never to the person you report.

Meeting someone one to one afterwards?

  • Meet somewhere public, like a café, and get there on your own.
  • Tell a friend where you'll be and when.
  • Keep chatting on Meetingy or a channel you chose until you're comfortable.
  • Leave whenever you want. You don't owe anyone your time.

Report a problem

About a person, a host or an activity. Only the Meetingy team sees it.

Report a problem

In an emergency

Call the local emergency number first. Thailand: police 191, ambulance 1669, Tourist Police (English) 1155. Singapore: police 999, ambulance 995. Then tell us.
