Privacy

This explains what Meetingy (meetingy.com), run by [legal entity name], [registered address], collects about you, why, who sees it, and how to control it. Contact: [privacy contact / data protection officer], hello@meetingy.com.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, first name, and the language and city you choose.
• Preferences: your birth year; a fun fact; activities you like; and your answers to three short questions about the kind of night you enjoy.
• Activity: activities you join, check-ins, waitlists, reviews, go-again votes, the private picks you send, people you block, and reports you file.
• Photos, only if you add them: a profile photo, stored privately. If you ask for a photo check, a selfie doing a gesture we pick; our team compares it with your profile photo and deletes the selfie as soon as they decide. We keep only the result and its date.
• Photos from an activity, only if you add them: kept privately and shown only to the people who checked in and the host.
• Your calendar link, only if you make one: a private address that shows the activities you've joined to whoever has it.
• Company enquiries: if you ask about private sessions for a company, the company name, your name, work email, city and what you tell us, used only to reply.
• City requests: if you ask for Meetingy in your city, the city, country and email you give, used only to email you when Meetingy opens there and to decide which city opens next. Ask us to delete it any time.
• Launch sign-ups: if you ask to be told when activities open in a city, your email, the city and the activity format you were looking at, used only for that one email. Ask us to delete it any time.
• Contact details you choose to share with friends you both picked: LINE ID, Instagram, WhatsApp number, or your email. Nothing is shared unless you add it.
• Payments: if you pay a deposit, Stripe processes the payment. We keep the amount, status and Stripe reference, not your card or bank details.
• Invites and devices: who invited you, if anyone; and, if you turn on notifications, a technical address for your device.
• Technical: basic server logs, page statistics (Vercel Analytics), and error reports so we can fix problems. Sign-in attempts are recorded as one-way hashes to stop abuse.

Who sees what

• Anyone: how many people are going to an activity. Never names.
• Your group, from the day before: your first name, age and fun fact, your profile photo if you added one, and "Photo checked" if you passed the photo check.
• The host: who is going and who checked in.
• Mutual picks only: when two people pick each other, both see each other's first name and the contact details each chose to share. Picks that aren't returned are never shown to anyone.
• What we don't ask: Meetingy is not a dating service. We don't ask for your gender or who you are interested in.
• Our team sees reports and what's needed to handle them, and, if you ask for a photo check, your profile photo and selfie until the check is done.

Why we use it

To run activities and groups, show mutual picks, send the messages you expect (booking, group reveal, reminders, spot openings, deposit refunds), handle deposits, keep people safe (blocks, reports, pausing accounts), and measure whether Meetingy is working. Who we share it with

Service providers that run parts of Meetingy for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting and page statistics), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), and your phone's notification service if you turn notifications on. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. [Where each provider stores data, and cross-border transfer terms, to be confirmed.]

How long we keep it

While your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, preferences, activities and picks are deleted straight away. Reports you filed are kept without your name so the team can still act on them. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. [Retention periods to be confirmed.]

• Download everything we hold about you at meetingy.com/account.
• Change what friends you both picked can see at meetingy.com/people.
• Delete your account at meetingy.com/account.
